Mansion in the forest

In my dreams, I wander through a sprawling mansion, its corridors alive with secrets and shadows.

Rooms overflow with treasures guarded by tigers, and torrents of water surge through the halls in sudden tsunamis.

At other times, the air is filled with the intoxicating scent of lemon trees thriving inside towering iron and glass greenhouses.

In one moment, the mansion enchants me; the next, it jolts me with electricity as I swim in a pool precariously perched on crumbling Greek columns.

A wild woman dwells within, surrounded by her potions and plants, her eyes alight with a truth that can terrify.

I am venturing through this enchanting mansion in my dreams and art studio, losing myself in its magic and mystery, one room and painting at a time.

How to Consume the Anthology

The anthology is best dosed in the order that it was published.

However, this is, after all, a sprawling mansion in a dream; you may choose to wander around the halls and enter any room that beckons you.

It’s All Based on a Real Recurring Dream

(No, Really, It Is)

I’ve dreamt of The Mansion a few times. Each of those dreams has had different rooms that I’ve explored. And so far, I haven’t been in the same space more than once. It’s shifting, but it’s the same place.

Every time I have a dream, I make notes for myself. As I revisit those notes, my memories enhance and deepen. There are no clearly defined outlines between what’s in my dream and the memories of the dream that come when I awaken, so I’m treating it all as part of the dream state.

Welcome to the Mansion, dear friend.
